WAIKAIA.
June 30.— We aro having delightful weather here this winter. It has been ao mild and pleasant that we c*n hardly imagine it winter at all. Amusements.— Tbeßand of Hope held a meeting on Friday night, the Rev. W. W. Low presiding. A recitation was given by Miss A. Hobson, a song by Miss W. Hardman, a reci?ation by Miss G. M'Kenzie, a reading by Master H. de Laurie, a dialogue by Masters H. de Laurie and G. Hunt, a recitation by Miss A. Radford, and a song by Mr M'Kenzie.
Band.— Subscriptions are being solicited in aid of a hrasß band fund. It is to be hoped that the public will help as much as possible. There are a tew musical people in the district. Mr H. Hamer is t > be bandmaster.
