Auckland, June 23. „ Xnother instalment of £1000 was paid-iMi , account of the purchase of the Broken Hills property atTairua by a syndicate represented by Mt Jonathan Stayer. This makes #2000 paitt up to 1 date. The terms upon which the property was floated aro that the new company shall have a capital of £150,000, in £1 shares ; the local snareholders to receive £10,000 cash and 42,000 fully paid-up shares. Ample working capital will also * be provided to develop the property. The directors of the Grace Darling ana Porlsea companies met this morning to consider an offer made by Mr Leo Mayers on, bshalf of the Austral African Company for the option of these arid adjacent properties. No definite arrangement was made, as the solicitor pointed out that it was first requisite to communicate with the Home agents notifying that the directors here were entering into fresh arrange., ments for the flotation of the property. June 24. At the Police Court, before Mr H. N. The option extends over five months ; £500 deposit on signing contract and £500 at the end of- three weeks. The Pyramid, Vendor, and Prioress claims adjoining are to be amalgamated with the' above, and receive a small proportion of shares. ' An offer hafl been made' on advantageous terms, on behalf of a powerful syndicate, for the Waihi Consols mine. ■ The directors have decided to -, defer final determination, until the end of the week, as an intimation has been received- that another large firm is desirous of also making an offer.

Tho local board of advice consists p( Colonel Button, Messrs W. S. Wilson/ S.- T.< George, and A.G.Horlon. - The primary object of the company is, to prospect ■ a' large. area held and float the subsidiary companies where discoveries have been* made. Shires in the Hauraki North Company were in demanato-day, owing to the fact that the directors had received a cable offering to float the Union Beacli section of this property on the London market. The Union Beach property oonsists of ■ £0 acres. A notice was posted on the Exchange to-day stating that the directors of the Talisman Extended Company had extended the time for the option of floating this property until the 30th of June.

■ June 26. One of the • most important sales of mining property during the present revival was 'arranged to-day in the shape of the sale _of the Try Fluke at .Kuaotunu. For some time past Mr Seymour Thome George, acting on behalf of the London syndicate has been negotiating for the purchase of this property. An offer of JSIO.OOO made to purchase the mine outright was declined by the -directors of the company., Thi3 afternoon a meeting of the directors was called for the purpose ; of considering a further offer made by Mr George, I which was accepted. The terms are that the property be Bold outright for £50.000 ca-h, £10,000 to-be pnid down and the balance in two months. It i« further provided tbat the £10,000 deposit will he forfeited in .the event of the balance , not bting paid within the lime specified. After allowing for commission this will mean . a dividendf of 14a 8d per aharf. The Try Fluke mine comprises an area of 103 acres. This fale . will, no doubt, result in the Kapai -Vermont mine - j being taken for £03,000 cash, as the same syndicate, it is understood* holds the option for that . sum.. The .result must be a great revival in I Kuaotumi stock generally. • ' .A deposit of £250 has been lodged for the option . of the City of London flotation, to bs pubject to the confirmation of My Adams's report. ' Information has been received that the water race, and tramway of the Waitekauri mine suffered great damage through the floods, and the .. batteries stopped woik. The cutting of a reef showing gold in the Golden Point mine at Tapu caused shares in that company to advance from 2s 9d to 3s 6d, with steady buyers at the latter price. Broken Hills wera in demand, and sold up to lid. Puru Consolidated shares were " firm at 5s 4i and 5s 6d, and Sheridans advanced from Is Id to Is 7d. The granting of an option for floating the Alpha Company caused these shares to advance to 8s 6d. The demand for Hercules still continues, and sales took place today .as high as Is 7d, while Portseis reached Is Bd, at which figure a large parcel changed hands. Stanley's firmed up to Is 6d, while frea sales took place in Waitekauri No. 4 at 7s and 7s Id, the market closing with buyers at the latter figure. Waihi Silvertons changed hands at 66s with still buyers at 655. >In Coromandel. stock : Bunker Hill shares Bold at 8i 3d, and aferwaidt at 83 6d,*which is a'-falling oft in value for the week. Hauraki North (contributing) shstrea < touched 4d, but there Were 'other sellers at tbat figure. There was quite a- run on New Tokatea and Bay •. i View shares, both reaching Is 6d.
