Lyell, May 25). Lyell Creek.— The manager reports :— " The winze has been sunk 7ft for the week, making tbe total depth 110 ft. The reef has been getting larger during the week, and is still widening, being the full width of the bottom of the winzeall clean, solid stone. stone has been fully maintained, some very fair stone being obtained." i The manager for the Cooksparrow dredge reports for the week a 9 follows :— *'l beg to report that we have dredg»d 127 hours for a return of 350z of amalgam, but tho email flood on Saturday night last silted up the face and caused a considerable lo3a of timo. Everything is going amoothly. The coal now being delivered here is of good quality from both mines,"
