Fat Cattle.— The small number r>f 70 head was yarded to-day, and as nearly all the butchers were bare of cattle, an adymce on last week's prices of 15s to 20s was obtoin-d. 'Ihe entry comprised a fo\v pens of heavy- weight cattle of pi iuie quality, and the balance was made up of lighter weights of fair to piime beef. Crossbred ewes and wethers brought from 9s 9d to 14a 3d, hoggets from 8s 3d to 9s, bullocks up to £7 15s, cows and heifers from £4 5s to £5 7s 6d. Shore Cattle.— Graziers are inquiring for three and four-year-old bullocks and well grown cows and heifers in forward condition, aud for these good prices are obtainable. Younx cattle do not, however, meet with the same iuquiiy, but if feed was more plentiful no doubt more buyers would be found tor them. Rabbil-kins.— Prime winters were in strong demand this week, but inferor and offseason skins did not attract tho same attention. Best winters brought 13d to 14d, medium lljd to 12Jd per lb. Sheepskins. — There was a full attendance of the trade at the sales this week, aud the prices ruling wpre on a par with last week's values. Butchers' best cios-<bredß brought from 4j 61 to 5s 4d ; medium 3s 9d to 4s 4d ; best green merinos, 3a to 4s 2d ; lambs, 7d to Is ; best dry crossbreds, 4s (5d to 53 3d ; medium do, 3s to 4s 3d ; infeiior, 16 4d to 2s 8d ; best dry metiuo, 2s SKI to 3s 5J ; inferior, Is to 2s 3d. Tallow.— The local buyers continue to take up all consignments fiom the country at late rates. Values are — For prime rendered mutton, 17s to 18s ; medium, 14s 6d to 16s 6d ; inferior, lln tid to 13s 6d. Rough fat : Beßt mutton, &6d to 10s 6d ; medium, 83 to 9s per cwt. Grain.— Wheat : Very little offering. Prime velvet is specially inquired for and meets witli a ready sale at aovanced prices. Other sorts of go >d milling also meet with a good demand at late rates. We quote— Prim* milliug (velvet). 4s 3d to 48 4d ; priinn milling, 4a 2d to 4.53 d ; medium niilling, 3s 10s to 4s ; fowls' wheat, 2i (id to 3a 9d. Oats met with a veiy good demand, and an advance on last week's prices have been obtained. All classes are inquiied for, but there is nioie inquiry for good shipping lines of prime feed and milling.
