land for Settlement. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— l crave a space in your valuable paper as the medium to waken up the powers tbat be to the necessity of getting the piece of country between block VI, Woodland district, and the Tahakopa River put iii the market. It is adjoining the block of land recently settled under the Improved Farm Settlement Act, known as block XV, Rimu district. I have been recently looking over it, and a great portion of it is as good as the land in block XV. I am surprised that such a fcplendid piece of country has not been surveyed and put on the market long ago. As showing the demand for land in this district, there is hardly a section between Owaka and the land referred to that has not been disposed of. This I take to be a sufficient warrant to have the foregoing portion of land put on the market. Personally 1 know of several inquiries after the same land. Thanking you in anticipation,— l am, &c. x Owaka, November 20. People the Land.
