SUPPOSED SUICIDE. Wellington, November 20.

A young man named John Scott M'lntosh, aged 29, who resided with his wife and sister in Lorance street, Newtown, was found dead in Newtown ParE this afternoon, with a bullet through his forehead and a six-chambered revolver at his side. He had been missing since Monday at midday, and had evidently been dead about 48 hours. He had beea .out of employment over five months and became very despondent of late. He followed the occupation of clerk, und was at one time on the staff of the National Bank at Napier. At the inquest the evidence showed thab though M'lnfcosh had been out of work for some months his wife was in good circumstances. The deceased suffered from nervous complaints, and had been talking about committing suicide on Sunday. A verdict of "Temporary insanity" was returned.
