The demand Mas fair for wellgrown three and four year-old bullocks, and the prii;ax obtained wero very satisfact"ry, but for younger cattle the demand was by no mean* br>sk, and a number had to be turned out unsold. Di*iry cows were very slow of t-alf, with ihe exception perhaps of better cla->s yoinii,' cows, for which there was mure competition In all we yarded 351 head, of which 291 changed hands at the following rales :— Kour-yeir-old bull •< k« to I £(i ; throi'-year-old steers, £4 to £5 8-j ; two->t»ar-old do, £2 10i to £1 Ha ; year-olds and upward-, £1 10s to £2 53; two and thrce-y>a'- old h. ifers. £3 to £3 lls ; aged dnr cows, £1 10j to £-2 6V. young dairy caws, £4 10i to £5 s* ; »ged do, £2 10i to £3 10i>. Our second Bale will be held in Thursday, 14th Novembsr.
