DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB.
The monthly gathering of the Dunedin Burns Club was hold in the Choral Hall on the 18th. The president (Mr J. B. Thumi on) occupied the chair, and there was a crowded attendance. An attractive program me was drawn up, and was gone through to the entire satisfaction of the audience ; in fact tho utmost snthu<-Msui characteris- d the whole proceedings, Tho choir eincientlv rendered " Wilt thou be my dewric?" and " "Ye banks and braes" in capital style, while Mr Iluig aud party conlribu ed t-ome admirable selections of Scottish mimic. Mr Thornton sang " Wte, wee German lairdie," Miss lii-id "' !)• on tho burn, Davio," Mr G. B. Dull "Srotlnnd the free," while a duet was rcn«!e-ed by Miis Wallt&i and Mr J. B. FergUhßon. Selected items weie also tutig by Mr Uuibero and Mies T\ Hutton. The recitation "A Oowk's Errant" was well given by Mr P. Chisholm, as was abo the recitation "Mr* Patie's Cookie Shine." The song and chorus "Bonnie Doon" was givi-n by Mi A. Sutherland and tne choir. The entertainment was concluded by (ho singing of " Auld lung xyne." Afterwstidi the hall was clean d for dancing, which was indulged in with much spiiit. Tho accompaniments during tho evening were played by MUx J. Todd, while Mr J. B. I'ergutson acted as conductor.
