London, December 13. The health officers condemned tbe peas and asparagus ex Cuzcoand Valetta. The peas landed frem the first-mentioned vessel were to a large extent mildewed and rat-eaten, while the asparagus was rotten. The Valetta's peas, when cooked, were not eatable, and emitted an oftenaive flavour.
Colonial stocks are depressed. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,620,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,070,000 quarters. The American visible wheat snpply is 112,800,000 bushel*.
December 14. The weekly return of the Bank of England publif.hed to-dmy 6hows the total reßerve to be £25,366,000, and the proportion of reserve to liabilities 6528.

South Australian wheat (cargo ex Invergnrry) sold at 24a 6d ; Victorian wheat (ex warehouse) quiet, IBs 3d. New Zealand frozen mutton : First quality, 3 5-8 d per lb ; second quality, 3Jd. Lamb, first quality, 4JdThe New Zealand hemp market is not changed. For kauri gum there is good demand, and prices remain firm Two thousand six hundred puckages were offered, and 2000 sold, and there are at present 2850 packages in stock. Three-quarter scraped brought 76s ; half-scraped, 45a ; pickings, 335. Sugjr : German beet, 8s 7Jd ; Java, lie lOJd. No. 3 best Scotch pig iron (f.o.b. in the Clyde), fiat, 42* 3d. Silver, 2s 3Jd. The C> penhagen Committee have reduced tho price of butter by 4s per cwt. Croner's finest quality is quoted at 98s to 100s.
