DUNEDIN" HORSE SALEYARDS.

Weekly Report.

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :— The demand at our sale on Saturday was confined almost entirely to draught and spring cart horses, of which there was a very small entry, but if suitable sorts had come forward we should have been able to place a fair number at satisfactory prices. Hacks and light harness horses were fairly well represented, but the demand for them was very slight indeed. We have a few inquiries for strong young carriage horses, and shall be glad to receive particulars of any that may be for sale We quote : First-class draughts (extra heavy), £25 to £30 ; good ordinary draughts (young), £18 to £22 ; medium draughts, £12 to £16 ; aged draughts, £6 to £10; good hacks and harness horses, £12 to £16 ; medium do, £7 to £9 ; light and inferior do, £2 10s to £5
