EAW WOOL ON THE FREE LIST.

In the SenatP, Senator Sherman's amendment to the tariff for a 30 per cent, duty on raw wool was defeated by 37 to 32. Wool tbercfjre remiins free, and the tariff will come into operation on Angnst 1. The bill was read a third time by 39 to 34. The bill bas therefore passed the Senate.
