GRAIN AND SEED REPORT.

Messrs William E. Reynolds and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending Juna 27, 1894, as follows :—

Wheat. — We have nothing new to report as regards this cereal, and very little business has been doing. Millers have now a fairly good supply, and are operating with extreme r caution. Prime velvet is in best demand and will sell readily at quotations, while Tuscan is a little more difficult to place. We quote i Prime, old up to 2s lid, new up to 2s lOd ; good medium, 2s 8d to 2a 9d ; ordinary, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; fowl feed, up to 2s 4d.

Oats.— There is absolutely no sale for these this week, except in small lines to local consumers, and the market is very dull. Holders remain firm, and prices keep fairly steady. Outside markets offer no encouragement to ship, nor do we expect they will for a little yet, as business generally is at a standstill, which is invariably the case during this month of each year. Next month we look for a revival, when we expect to see priceß harden a little, although certainly there is no tendency in this direction at time of writing. Small lines are leaving stores daily, but arrivals from the country nearly make up for these, consequently stocks are not being reduced. We quote to-day : Prime milling Is sjd £0 Is 6d ; stout feed, Is 4Jd to Is 5d ; ordinary, Is 3d to Is 4d. Barley.— No business doing, and very little offering. Chan. — Really prime remains in good demand, and £2 15a can be obtained ; medium to good, 40a to 47s 6d.

Potatoes.— These are very slow of sale owing to heavy arrivals. Best are selling as high as £2 5s ; medium, up to £2.
