PROPERTY, SALE.
Messrs Howdbn and Walton held an auction Bale of city freehold properties at their central auction rooms, High street, on Tuesday, when there was a good attendance of buyers, and tbe bidding was very spirited. The following properties were sold :— Lot 1, part sections 51 and 52, Castle street, Dunedin, containing an area of 11/65 poles, with a frontage of 38ft to Castle street ; also lot 2, part section 52, black 29, adjoining lot 1, and containing an area of H'6s poles, with a frontage of 38ft, both lots being purchased by Mr Thomas Baker for the sum of £295. Also lot 3, part section 403r, block 29, Castle street. Duuedin, containing an area of 115 poles, having a frontage of 99ffc to Castle street ; and lot 4, being patt of section 403R, block 29, Castle steet, Dunedin, containing an area of 9 poles, having a frontage of 3>ft, with six-roomed dwelling house thereon— both these lots being purchased by Mr William Vickery for the sum of £375.
