GRAIN AND SEED REPORT.

Messrs William B. Reynolds and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending Juno 20, 1894, as follows :— Wheat. — This market remains much the same as usual, and, as we fully expected, the London market shows a weaker tendency this week. Really prime lines find buyers at good prices, but there is very little business doing. We quote : Prime old up to 3s ; new, 2s lOd to 2s lid ; good medium, 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; ordinary, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; fo frl feed up to 2s 3JdOats. — This market still remains in a very depressed state, and very little business is doing. Prices this week show a slightly weaker tendency owing to the want of speculation and the poor demand locally. We have been selling this week at quotation prices, but they are hard to get. Really good milling are commanding a little attention, but the demand is limited, very little is being shipped, and stores are slowly filling. We quote, as last ! Prime milling, Is 5Jd to Is 6d— occasionally, Is 6£d ; stout feed, Is 6d to Is s}d ; ordinary, Is 3Jd to Is 4JdBarley.— This season is now practically over, and very little is offering. Really prime meets with fair demand, but medium is very difficult to place. We quote : Extra prime up to 4s ; really good, 3s 9d ; medium, 3s to 3s 4d. Chaff. — There is a good deal offering, but very little really prime, for which can be obtained £2 12s 6d ; medium to good, 40s to 455. Potatoes.— Supplies exceed the demand, and lines are slow of sale at : Best, £2 7a 6d ; medium, up to £2 2s 6d.
