THE CARISBROOK CLUB'S TOUR.
/ The Midland (Canterbury) Match. The match Carisbrook v. Midland was played at Christchurch on December 27 and the former won on the first innings by 15 runs, the state of the wicket appearing to suit Lawton's bowling to a nicety. Scores :—: — Carisbuook.— First Innings.
Second Innings.
The Oamaru Match. * The match against Oamaru was played on December 29 on the North road ground in splendid cricketing weather. The visitors went first to the wickets, a capital pitch having been prepared. Lawton was run out without, scoring, but MacNeil and Fisher then made a good stand, and on the latter departing Rattray and Bell also lent material assistance. With seven wickets down for 176 the innings was closed, and then Oamaru was disposed of for 36, Hope getting five wickets for 13 and Lawton three for 19. Score* : — Camsbrook.— First Innings.
