THE GAZETTE.
Wellington, July 6. The Gazette contains the annual lists, of teachers and the post and telegraph officials' classification. From the former it appears that 3367 certificates were issued. Of thtse, 2113 are still employed. There are 1100 male and 1013 female teachers. From the latter it is shown that VI females are employed in the four principal telephone exchanges, besides 18 in other branches of the service. The resignation of Mr Cadmau as Minister for Justice, Native Minister, and member of tho Executive is gazetted. Mr Samuel Costell's appointment as Govern-" ment Printer, manager of the stationery office, and controller of stamp printing is gazetted. Mr George M. Snelson, coroner," Palmerston North,- has resigned. Mr Richard M'Callum is gazetted Crown solicitor at Blenheim. Mr B. Hallenstein's appointment as German Consul at Dunedin has received her Majesty's sanction. The Gazette ,notifles that Thomas Andrew Ernest Scully, clerk in the" department of Trade and Customs, has been dismissed from the public service. '
