SPECIAL REMINDERS.
The Kurow programme contains eight events, which the chief is the Cup, of 45sovs, a mile and a-half. The district for the Maiden and
ounties Plate is the area included in the Waitaki and Waimate counties — a large enough limit to include a lot of good horses, and the district for the Hack Race is also an extensive one, while the rest of the races are open. Nominations are due with Mr Raven on the 17th September. The Cromwell Tradesmen's Racing Club put forward a decent bill of fare for the meeting on the 14th of October. There is a big district interested, and Mr James Marshall should have a fair lot of entries to make up when he closes the . ists on the Sth of October. Mr G. R. Hislop forwards the North Otago programme for the October meeting, which will be found in this issue. The stakes are well divided, for while the chief events are the Spring Handicap of 75»ovs and the President's Handicap of GOaOVS, there are two prizes of 40»ov& aud five of 30sovs. Nominations are due on c 26th of September.
