All Entries and Acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, description and age of horse. The jockey's colours must be sent in with acceptance, under a penalty of 2sovs. All persons who intend to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person refusing or neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, lobe imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding ssovs, to go to the Race Fund. In the event of any person entering a protest the sum of L 2 2» must be lodged with the Secretary before the protest is considered. The sum to be forfeited to the Race Fund should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of advertised stakes, in accordance with the programme, for expenses. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. Entries received only under these conditions. All Races (except Trotting Races) to be run under the rules of Racing and Totilisator Rules as adopted by the Dunedin Jockey Club.
