THE LABOUR MARKET.
Mr Skene reports under date August 16 :— Spring work begins to tell. The tine open weather keeps up the demand for ploughmen and odd hands for farms and stations, and right good men are soon picked up. Dairy people are more in request every day, and short of requirements. Town work is far from plentiful, and every little job is rushed. Country wages arc good for the right sort.
