DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. Weekly Report. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :— There was again a very small entry of horses for our weekly sale on Saturday, only about 40 horses of all descriptions being otFered. Draughts suitable for shafting and country work were again in excellent demand, and we had no difficulty in selling all that were forward of this cla>9 on which the reserves were at all reasonable. There was also a fair demand for good strong spring cart horses, but medium class— hacks and harness horses— were again almost unsaleable. We desire to draw the attention of oui southern friends to our sale at Gore on Thursday, 18th inst., when we shall offer a large number of ically good draught, spring cart, buggy, and saddle horses. We quote:— For first-class draughts (extra heavy), L 25 to L3O ; good ordinary draughts (young), IAS to L 22; medium draughts, Ll2 to ■ Ll6; aged draughts, L 6 to HO; good hacks and harness horses, Ll2 to Ll6 ; medium hacks and harness horses, L 7 to L 9; light and inferior hacks and harness horses, L 2 IDs to L 5. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs James Samson and Co. report having sold in the estate of the late William Thompson, parts of section 21, block XIV, Howling street, Dunedin, with dwelling house, vinery, and other buildings thereon to Mr D. M. Sncdding for the sum of L 350.
