Moritzson and llopkin, Manse street, Duneedin, report (wholesale) for the week ending July 19 as follows :— - Wheat : Good samples are scarce and easily placed We quote prime milling at 3s 7d to 3s 8d ; medium, 3s 3d to 3s 6d. Fowls' wheat : We quote —Good whole, 2s 6dto2s9d : medium and broken, 2s to 2s 6d. Barley is in fair demand if good bright. Malting at from 4s to 4s 3d ; medium, 3s 3d to 3s 6d; milling wanted at from 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; feed, 2s to 2s 3d. Oats : We have good inquiry for all sorts. We quote prime milling, Is lid to 2s; good to medium feed, Is 8d to Is lid: inferior, Is 6d to Is 8d; all sacks extra, off trucks. Seed sorts, long and short, 2s to 2s 3d. Prime Nelson hops, Is. Wo receive consignments of rabbitskins, pelts, hides, wool, and tallow, and can quote as follows : — Best winters 15£ dto 16d per lb ; incoming winters, 9d to lOd ; autumns, B|d ; summers, 6d to 6Jd. Desiccated cocoanut, 6d. Fruit to hand by every steamer. . Oranges are scarce and market will be bare by arrival of next steamer. We quote Canterbury apples 4s to 6s (not many good samples offering). Hobart crabs, 7s to 8s: S.P.M., N.Y.F., Stunner's, 7s to Bs. Pears : No dessert offering, baking sorts unsaleable. Oranges, 8s 6d to 9s. Lemons, 7s to Bs. Walnuts, (iid. Tomatoes, Bd. Bananas, lid. Cocoanuts, 12s. We are now getting regular supplies of Whangarei oranges. Produce. — Eggs, somewhat scarce. Fresh butter (in moderate supply), Is to Is 2d.
