A heavy failure is reported from Brisbane, Mr Arthur S. Benjamin, head of the firm of Benjamin and Co., general merchants, having liquidated his estate. His liabilities are set down at L 57.200. The following is the number of bags of grain and pronuce received at the Dunedin railway stations during the week : — Bar- PotaWheat. Oats. Bran. ley. toes. Flour. Tl. Friday 380 399 175 — 118 — 1072 Monday 269 524 — — 120 — 913 Tuesday 590 70 — — 182 — 742 Wednesday 238 770 — — 198 — 1106 There also arrived 1054 bags of produce. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 20th July 1892 : — " Wheat and Flour : The weather is unsettled and market is firmer. Spot quotations have advanced Gd per 4961b since last report ; c.i.f. quotations have advanced 6d per 4801b since last report. Quotations nominal."
