Mr William Todd, Invercargill, reports the sale on Saturday of the following properties : -Under initructiona from Mr C. Bout, official asiigoee, in tbe estate of Mrs Mary Gorman: Two sections la Dipton, on which are erected the Bailway Hotel, with 20 acres at rear ; quarter acre with buildings at Makarewa, and one eighth of an aore In Jed street, Invercargill, in one lot to Mr John Griffin for £852. On another account : Seotion 269, Forest Hill, 84 acres, for £63, to Mr T. M'Lean. On account of Mrs Agnes Thompson : Half of seotion 2, block LX, Leet street, with small cottage, to Henry Trillo, for £60 ; leasehold, known, as Mrs Grant's, Tweed and Clyde streets, Invercargill, for £11. The Perpetual Trustees report the sale by auoblon of section 57, West Dunedin, containing 10 poles, for £67. The company also report the sale privately of 40 aorea, Pine Hill, at £15 per acre. The New Zealand Lohn and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) havereoeived the following telegram from their London office, dated 27th init. :— " Wheat.— Market steady and demand fair. Quotations unchanged since last telegram." Dated 30th October:—" Tallow : There is rather better demand ; fine mutton is worth 275, and good beef 25s 9d per owt. Frozen : Mutton market quiet, Wellington is worth 3jd per lb, other quotations unchanged."
