(Fbom Our Own Correspondent.) Auckland, May 20. The only senior match played on Saturday was the Gordon-PoDsonby fixture. The game was a very well contested one, and the play, though at times rather wild through over-eager-ness on both sides, was very fast throughout. It eaded in a victory for Ponsonby by five points to three. Ponsonby secured three tries, one of which was converted ; and Gordon's score was a try by Jervis, from which he himself kicked a goal. Grafton did not play either senior or junior because of the death of Dennis Conroy, a member of the club. His funeral on Sunday was attended by 40 footballers, and the union play a benefit match for bis relatives on the Queen's Birthday,
