HARBOUR BOARD DEBENTURES.
(Special to Pbess Association.) London, May 10. New Plymouth Harbour Board stocks are down to 60.
May 11.
Gisborne Harbour Board debentures hare fallen 2£ per cent. Wanganui have risen £ per cent.
' Wellington, May 12.
No official intimation has been received of the cause of the sudden movement in New Zealand harbour board debentures, but it is surmised that the decline has been caused by the inability of the New Plymouth Board to find the full amount of interest for the instalment falling clue on May 1. It is understood that this board could not provide more than 4 per cent, instead of 6, and it is their stock which has suffered most.
