Draughts at Auckland.
The draughts tournament which has been in progress at Robson's Rooms, Auckland, during the last three weeks has been brought to a conclusion. There were 12 entries, and the final contest took place between Messrs Kelly and Gunthorp. The latter succeeded in vanquishing the former by the score; Guntnorp 2, Kelly 0, 1 draw. Mr O. Gunthorp is therefore the Winner of a handsome silver cup. which carries with it the title of Champion of Auokland. A club has been formed with a membership of 30. We congratulate the Champion and wish the new olub success.
