SALES OP GRAIN AND PRODUCE.

Mr John Grlndley held a sale of grain and produce at the stores of the Farmers' Agency Company, in Cumberland Btreet, on Monday. There was a large attendance, and the bidding was rather brisk, bub there was no improvement in values. The result of the sale was as follows:— 1740 sacks of oats sold at , from Is 2d to Is fid per bushel (prime, bags 6d extra), and one lot from the exhibition was disposed of at Ib. 8d per bushel (bags 6d extra)! Wheat was in good, request, and sold at from 3s 2d to 3s 5d per bushel. Southern potatoes brought 67s 6d per ton, and. Northern potatoes from 70s to 72s 6d, First and second prize flour from Maniototo county was disposed of at £9 6s per ton, and barley brought from* 2s 6d to 3s according to the quality. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report having held an auction sale of grain and produce at their stores on Monday.
