August 21 .—The funeral of the late Mr Harrop took place on Tuesday, and was, as I anticipated, very largely attended, people coming from all parts of the district to pay respect to his memory. Loyal Tuapeka Lodge, MU.1.p.0.F., and Court Star of Tuapeka, A.0.F., were largely represented, Mr Harrop being a member of both societies. This young man waa born at the Bine Spur, and was educated at the Blue Spur and Lawrence schools; and all his .friends are' pleased to hear such good news of his career.
