OTAGO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the committee of the above association was held on the 14th in at. Present : Messrs Brydone (chair), Btronach, Smith, Philp, Hart, Taggart, Sinolair, Charters, Peake, and Oow&n. A circular was received from the Hawke's Bay Association enclosing a copy of resolution passed by that society to the effect that Ministers should be asked to introduce a bill imposing an annual fee of £10 on all entire horses three years old and upwards ; tbe fees so collected to be given as annual premiums to sire horses standing in the district in which the tax is levied.— lt was resolved to support this resolution. . The following offers of private prizes for the coming show were received, and the secretary instructed to accept same with thanks .•— From the Dunedin Jookey Club, cap or specie, value £10 10s, to be allotted as the association might direot for blood stock ; from Mr J. S. Rutherford, Albnry, the sum of £10 10s, for qualified hunters, providing fair hunting fences were erected ; from the Peninsula A. and P. Association, oup or piece of plate, value £5 Ss, to be allocated aa the association might direot. Programme Committee:— Messrs Brydone, Smith, Reid, M'Farlane, Philp, S afcrlok, Ferguion, Oowan, and Allan. Parade Committee t— Memi Dowse, Charter*, Philp, Taggart, Ferguson', Hart, M'Farlane, Duthlo, and Allan. Canvassers -.—Central cllatriot: Mesirt Brydone, Smith, Philp, M'Failane, Driver, Taggart, and Duthie. South distriobj Messrs Smith, Philp, Fleming, Peake, and Hart. North district : Mesire Smith, Sutherland, Sinolair, Taggart, Stronaoh, and Dr Coughtrey. It was resolved that the horse parade he held on Thursday, October S.
