Afc the last meeting of the Commissioners a letter was read from the Fine Arts Committee stating their inability to recommend ifte' acceptance of any of the designs for the! certificate of award, and suggesting fresh competition, . with an increased premium,— lt was resolved 1 that fresh applications be called for.all ovbr New Zealand with a premium of 20 guineas ; designs to be in by July 17.
