LAWRENCE.
October 26.— A man named William Spencer, who had been residing in the district for many yeers, wan found dead Inst evening not far from his own hut. It appears that a Bhort time before he was found he left the Tuapeka Flat Hotel, and evidently while on his way horn« he must have fallen down iv a place where there was about 2lu of water. His face was iv this water when a man named Towndrow found him. An inquest will be held this afternoon by the coroner.
