At the Criminal sittings of the Supreme Court at luvercargill, before Mr Justice Williams, John M'Arthur was convicted of receiving money knowing it (o have l>een stolen, and sentenced to six months' imprisonment. Prisoner and an old offender named Tipson, not yet apprehended, are alleged to have stolen £29 from a box in the hut of a labourer.
