August 13. — The weather we are having at present is all that can be desired, and the hard lrosts have in a great measure spent themselves. The grass has begu.u to spring up, and altogether there is every appe-rance of an early season. Accidents.— Mr Watt, of Riversdale, who is at present engaged in some carpentering work here, met wit.b a very serious accident to-day. He web fixing on the roof of a building when he missed his footing and fell to the ground, bre^kiDg his left leg near the hip.
