OTEPOPO.
August 13. — The weather here during the past five weeks has been very wet, rrin fal'ing almost every day. It has only teen fit to plough three days out of 35, and even if it Bhould clear up now the land will not be fit to work for the next two weeks. We may consequently look for a late harvest and poor crops here this ./ear, for the ground is very sour and cold. The winter -Eown whet is looking ye. s backward, and the stock are in very low condition. The only thing I can see growing well is the gorse. There is not such a thing to be seen as spring iced yet. The lambi are fortunately not maHng their'appearance yet. I do not think we shall havn co much .'and inj crop this year, owing to the wet spring.
