Central Otago Mining Notes. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Nasedy, August 10.
Green's Reef Company, Ophir.—- The cyclone crusher for this company arrived at Dunedin on Wednesday by the Tarawera, and was at once sent to Dunback. It will probably reach Ophir by the end of next week. Share Market.— This week a considerable amount of business has been done locally with the scrip of the Golden Gully and Green's Reef Companies. Over 4000 Golden Gullies have changed hands since last Monday at from 16d to 10d. Green's Reef have also been in active demand, and one firm of brokers state that if they could have executed the orders thej received they could have passed over 5000 through their books within six days. Holders are now asking 4s. In all probability Green's Reefs and Golden Gullies"will both rise 6d or more above present ruling rates before the end of the month. Progresses have been sold at 6s, .holders generally not being inclined to part at that figure.
