Maminga showed the .way over the first hurdles, with Victor next, Reform and The Jilt bringing up the rear. . As they v passed the stand this order was the same, all fencing in grand style. Going through, the cricket gronnd, Victor drew up near Maminga, and a good race home resulted in Maminga winning by half a length from Victor; Reform was beaten by a head for third place. This horse came up very fast in the last few strides. Passing the stand Goth led, with Charmer second and Steel Bone third, The Shah last. At the back of the turn Laurel improved her position, and at the bottom turn came through her horses^ The Gem also came very strong, but could not quite get up ; Laurel winning by a length from her.
