THE FINAL MATCH WITH ALL * ENGLAND. (Reuter's Telegrams.) London, August 12. The final cricket match Australians v. All England was commenced to-day at Kennington Oval. The interest taken in the match was very great, and the attendance of spectators was enormous. The weather was fine, "and an excellent wicket was pitched, the ground being in first-rate order. The Home team comprises the following names: — W. G. Grace (Gloucester), W. Read (Surrey), A. G. Steele (Lancashire), E. F. S. Tylecote (Herts), R. G. Barlow (Lancashire), W. Barnes (Notts), J. Briggs (Lancashire), 3 t . Lohmann (Surrey), W. Scotton (Notts), A, Shrewsbury (Notts), and G. Ullyetb (Yorkshire) — being the same as in the second match. The Home team went first to the wickets, Grace and Scotton being first to bat. A determined stand was made by these players, Scotton putting together 34 before he was disposed of. Shrewsbury joined Grace, who. was batting splendidly and giving a splendid exhibition of cricket. He scored before he was out. Read succeeded Grace, and with Shrewsbury continued at the wickets until stumps were drawn for the day ; the Englishmen having lost two wickets for 27ft runs.. When stumps were drawn for the day Gloucester had lost three wickets for 22 runs. London, August 17. The cricket match Australians v. Gloucestershire was resumed to-day at Chiltenham. The weather was fair, and there was a good attendance. The Home team in the first; innings only succeeded in putting together 74 runs, or 49 behind the Australians.
