The following is a resiime of the business trans, acted at the meeting held on the 20ihinst. : — A transfer of the lease of 173, acres, Takitimo district, Was made to A-. It. Hare. • The folio-wing applications,, were [granted: — For deferred payment : Section 46, block 2, Aparima, William Sutherland. To transfer 1 : Section 232, Forest. Hill, from.H. M'Donald' tos lA. ■ M'Pherson. To complete, purchase,: J. Hamilton, section 215, Forest Hill ; E. Turnbull, section 38, block 7, Mataura township ; E.Sutton, section 161, and part of 162} Oreti. ' To" capitalise : W. Sims, section 272, Forest Hill. Part of a road on the west side of section 123, Wairio district,, was granted to 'the Wallace County Council. ' • The Chief Surveyor recommended that sections 48, 49, and 50, of block 17, Irivercargill Hundred, be offered for sale at an upset, price of £2 per acre. In submitting maps of sections 61 to 74, block, 19, Invercargill Hundred, "the Chief Surveyor recommended that sections 66 and 67 be sold for cash at an upset of £10 and £6 10s respectively, the remainder to be open for application on deferred payment. — Adopted ; improvements on the sections to be valued and added to the upset 1 prices. > . The application of James Calder-for 50 acres of bush in the Longwood district was granted. Permission was granted to Mrs/Pulloch to> cut -timber for a tramway on section . 10, block 7 and on block 8, Makerewa. ; Ranger Mussen reported on the valuation of the improvements on the perpetual section 3H, Forest Hill. The section ' had been taken up by, | J. and P. M'Ai-cy, but one of the brothers had' i shortly afterwards gone away leaving the. other to do all the imiirovements "unassisted. It was a case 6i great hardship, and if the unpaid rents were deducted from the .purchase money J. M'Arcy would probably get nothing for his improvements. ' . , ■ The Chief Commissioner said it was almost a pity the party had forced upon the Board the necessity of cancelling his license.'
