Christmas.— All is bustle at present, in anticipation of the approaching holiday season AU the available vehicles iv the nfcighbourbood are engaged for Christinas Day The sea coast is a f.wovmtfi place for spending the holidays, and, so far as 1 can hear, everybody means to fro there - at least, everyone you ask will tell you he means to go there. Half-holiday — The various tra legmen, &c. have unanimously agreed to close their respective places of business for half-holidays every Thursday afturnoon, beginning on Thursday, January 10. It is not often that there ia such unanimity displayed in a step like this. No public meeting was called, a paper being Blmply taken round and signed by the various business men in the township. Stiow.— The annual show may be called a great success in regard to the number and quality of entries ; and the money taken will pay aU expenses, and leave littlo to Jay past against-a rainy d iv.
