ISLAND BAY RACES.
Wellington, December 1. Ihe Island Bay races were largely attended, upwards of 2000 being present. Two totalisatora were on the course, and they were well patronised. The Maiden Hack Race was won by Stella ; the Final Flutter by Uncle Tom ; and the Consolation Handicap" by Gabble, with Mountain Deer second. The meeting was a very successful one, and no accidents whatever occurred.
