(Received July 18, at 0.30 p.m.) The manager of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency reports of the local grain market as follows : — Wheat steady, but in active demand at 4s lid to 5s for shipping parcels. Malting barley quiet at 5s to 6s. New .Zealand oats quieter and weaker at 2s 9d to 3s lid for feeding qualities, and 3s Id to 3s 2d for milling sorts. New Zealand oats (under bond) are slow of sale at 2s Id to Ss4d. (Received July 10, at 1.25 a.m.) Sailed, this morning : Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa, for the Bluff. The Colonial Treasurer delivered his Financial Statement this evening in the Legislative Assembly. He estimates the revenue for the present year at £6,100,000, and the expenditure at £6,060,000, leaving a surplus of £40,000. The revenue for the past financial year amounted to £5,770,000, and expenditure to £5,690,000. Brisbane, July 18.
