A meeting of cri ditors in the e'tate^ of M'Landregs Hepburn, and Co was held on Friday forenoon at 'he Supreme Court, to as-ent to the deed of assignment made by them in favour of George Koss and J H. Kilgour as trustees for the benefit of the crenitors. There was a large representaion of the creditors preaent ; Mr George Turnbull in the chair. A resolution was mov, d by Mr Robert Wilson, and seconded by Mr H. J. Maclean, " That the deed be a sented to," which was carried unanimously. A similar resolution as regards Mr Hepburn's personal eatate was also carried unanimously.

A meeting of the creditors of Messrs Thomson, Strang. and Co., drauers, was held Ou Friday morning at the office of Metsrs Sargood, Son, and twen. M' H. YOl n*, of that firm, occupied the chair, and the c were nin» gentlemen present. The British and New Zealand Mortgage and Aeencv Company (Limited) ye-terday received the following telegram from Me-srs Helmuth Schwartze and Co., dated 22nd inut : - '♦ T ere is an increase in the animation.
