SCHOOL Matters.— Those interested in school matterß held a meeting on Saturday last, but as the Inspector (Mr Taylor) viaited the diat ict on Thursday, and promised to report to the Education Board in favour of a school for this district, it was decided to take no further action in the matter until the result of the Inspector 1!*1 !* report was made known. — At the meeting it was resolved— " That a petition bt sent to the Chairman of the Taicrl County Council asking him to have the road from the Hintlon road to the village settlement forced."
