PENINSULA.
(from our own correspondent.)
March 14th.
I wish to correct a mistake in the punctuation of my last letter, which I believe has caused a considerable amount of astonishment. The paragraph in which Mr Greigis represented as having said that he believed tho Anderson's Bay charge to be in a more prosperous condition with regard to spiritual matters, should have read, ' With regard to spiritual matters, Mr Greig appeared to be better satisfied,' &c, &c. The weather, which has been so long unsettled, has taken quite a change for the better. The hay crop has been secured, and stacks have during the past few weeks been making their appearance. Should it continue fine, the grain crops will soon be ready. - Wheat is not so heavy here this year as last, but the oat crop is pretty good. The convenience of the settlers is now well looked to, as there are two coaches on the high road between Sandymount and Dunedin.
