Broadstuffa evince no improvement. There is scarcely an inquiry for flour, and at £10 10s, to which we confine our quotation, no sales have been advised beyond actual wants. The probability is, however, that purchasers will come forward and operate at the price. Wheat is firm at 6s l£d, and an this figure one Hue of 500 bags was disposed of publicly, the other qualities offered realising 4s 8d to ss. Of the Bonden's shipment of wheat for Capetosvn in yesterday's clearances, about 1200 bags only consist of Victorian ; and of tho Irene's shipment of 1200 bas;B of flour cleared at same time, 600 bags aie 2001b each, and 600 bags 501b each. In feeding grains, oats are moving off steadily at full rates. A p.ircel of 300 bags good feeding was sold privately at 3a 4d. Lnder the hammer, however, very little was done ; only a few small lots were cleared ofi at 3s 2£d to 3s sjd. New Zealand oats were offered, but the greater portion was withdrawn. Victorian malting barley has been quitted privately at 3s 7d. At the auction sale of sugars this forenoon the bidding was good, and improved rates were realised. 1079 pockets Mauritius and Queensland were disposed of. Medium white crystals were taken at £34 ; grey crystals at £33 to £33 lus; fine grainy jellows at £32 155; low yellows, £29 10s to £30 10s. Queensland low counters brought £28. Faulty sugars were sold at £29 10s to £33 15;*, and the Irene's damaged was cloared off at £29 5a to £32 16s. The Earn's cargo has been noticed. The importers havo commenced selling privately, and 800 bags of this shipment have already been disposed of Teas are only moving for trade purposes. Candies continue to meet with favour. At auction Lhis forenoon 1700 boxes were placed. One line of 1000 boxes D.lt.O's brought BJd; the remaindor, according to condition and brand, sold at 8d to B£d, the latter figure being naid for carriage sorts.
