The following business was transacted :— On the motioa of Mr Parkbr permission was given to the Brute County Council to «>zp*nd th" fin in o( £250 on Loudon's Gully road, provided the T komaimo Buurd be not expected to supplement the A tender by Mr Cannon for repair* to the Smith Bridge, and Messm Seed and Hopan'a tender for a cuttii.r at 20s per chain, were accepted. It was moved by Mr Parker, seconded by Mr Dali> and carried — " That an application he made to the County Council for a grant of £0, to be exuended o r i the road from Hollick's stockyard to LouIhe Committee appointed to consider the application of Mr I>. Corsan, for the Board to p»y haiJ •* S-hu ©jtpenws towards erecting a flood-bank, met Mr Ct>rHttn on the proposed site, and on their i-ecoinmenduion it waaeubsequvnUy rwolved that Mr o'oisu.n l» requested to obtain the consent of the nefcbbou'ing pro-o-iei-ors and that- when obtained the Bo ad would throw no obstacle in the way of the work. Accounts amounting to £127 we-e paved for payment, and vho Board theß adjourned.
