OAMARU ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.
A meeting of gentlemen favourable to the formation of an Acclimatisation Society in the Oamaru district took place onthe Ist instant, at the County Council Chambers. There were present — Messrs J. licott, W. Craig, and Drs De Lautourand Garland. It was unanimously resolved — . That a Provisional Committee be appointed to take the necessary. Bteps to. form a Society,' said Committee 'to consist of Messrs Connell, Reid, Maclennan^' Steward, N. Fleming, Borton,, Duncan, Menlove, George M 'Lean,. G. T. Fenwiek,.
