LATE AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
{Per Easby, at Wellington.) The news by the, Easby, from Sydney, is of little importance. A satisfactory report has been received of the arrival ab Shanghai of the first shipments of Australian wool. Arrangements have been made for the, manufacture of cloth, woollen and cottonmixture, by the Chinese, with a view to opening up a new market for Australian' wools. ' Moss and Isaacs, of Melbourne, furniture, dealers, have been sentenced to six months', imprisonment for fraudulent insolvency.

The Victorian Government intends to ask| the neighbouring Colonies to co-operate in enacting legislation against runaway husbands.
