Amusements.
PRINCESS THEATRE.
" Rip Van Winkle " was repeated last night at the Prinoes3 Theati-o to an audience which was numerous, considering the various other attractions. Mr J. L. Hall's truthful representation of the careless, drunken, yet good-hearted Dutchman was fully appreciated by the audience, who were not slow to recognise it. Mrs J. L. Hall, as the shrewish dame, acted well, and also did Miss Morgan ats Alice, Mi-^a L. Wiseman as Rowena, and Master Harry Hall as Snaggerine, the guome who lures Rip to the (Jatskill Mountains. Mr Wilkinson's Knickerbocker was an amusing performance certainly, but it would have saddened the heart of the author had he been present to see it. A lively sketch entitled " The Water Witches " brought the evening's entertainment to a close.
