OTAGO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE.
A meeting of the Milton branch of the Otago Educational Institute was held in the Grammar School, Milton, on Saturday last. Present — Messrs Ayson (in tha chair), Malcolm, Revi J. Chisholm, Youngson, M'Neur, and Brown. A telegram was received from Messrs Moore and Grigor, members of the Clutha •branch,' regretting having missed the train. A letter was received from the Secretary to the Dunedin branch, requesting that the day of meeting should' be altered from the last Saturday of each, month to the first Saturday of each month, which suggestion was agreed to. A long discussion took place upon the new Education Bill, during which the. members expressed their entire satisfaction with its principles, so far as' they have yet been made public ; and it was agreed that the Secretary should be instructed to communicate with Mr Murray, M.H.R., requesting him to forward copies of the Bill, as soon as they are printed, to the Society.
